Transformation

Often imagined as a destination, a future version of ourselves waiting to emerge.

But what if the transformation is not something we achieve?

What if it's the natural unfolding that occurs when we meet this moment fully, without resistance, without becoming?

If life is already changing itself then, is there any need to do anything else except allow, witness and be?

A butterfly rests upon the yarrow.

One form meeting another in a fleeting moment that can never be repeated.

We often think of transformation as a project. Something to work toward, improve, manage or attain. We imagine that with enough effort, enough healing, enough understanding, we will eventually become someone else.

Is that truly transformation?

What if it happens in a very different way.

A simpler way.

Not through striving, but through seeing.

Not through effort, but through awareness.

When there is a quiet observation of what is, without judgment, without comparison, without the need to fix or change anything, something extraordinary begins to take place. The old patterns reveal themselves. The fears, the attachments, the images we hold about ourselves become visible.

And in the light of that seeing, they begin to lose their grip.

Transformation is not created by the observer.

It arises naturally when there is no separation between the observer and the observed.

Life is already moving, already changing, already unfolding. The body changes. The seasons change. Relationships change. Thoughts arise and disappear. Every moment is a death and a birth.

The question is not how to transform.

The question is whether we can be fully present with what is arising and unfolding now, even if it's uncomfortable and we want to run or it's so good we want to hold it tightly forever.

Because, in that presence there is an intelligence beyond effort, beyond will, beyond becoming.

And perhaps that is where true transformation lives.

Not in the future.

Not in an ideal, dream or fantasy.

But here, in this living moment.

In deep acceptance of what is.

Alive & flowing.
